Good evening ladies (and gentlemen?), I hope you’ve been having a wonderful week. Today this post is about a store that sells sport shoes. Yes, you read that right! For those that have followed me for a longer period know that next to jeans, sport shoes (however fashionable) were one of my least favourite things to wear. But I can tell you something, that is now a thing of the past. In just over a month I’ve accumulated 3 pairs of brand-spanking-new sneakers. That is a lot for me. And they are almost permanently glued to my feet.
So after being ‘out’ of the world of sneakers for years – with the exception of the sportschool – I was invited by MOOI PR to check out the new and improved (dare I say fashionable?) PRO stores. So off I went to Leiden, to multi-task: to have lunch with a friend and then to check out the new PRO store and be everything that I was academically trained to be: suspicious and critical. Thankfully, I had no reason to be either of these things. From the incredibly wet streets of a deserted Leiden I was literally drawn into an eye-catching store – and what a luck I had that this was in fact the PRO store!
If you take a look at the pictures above, you will see what I mean. From the outside, as well as the inside, the new PRO store looks fresh and funky. Fresh because there is no clutter about and funky because the interior design really speaks for itself. I talked with the friendly staff for a while (obviously asking them why the PRO store was better than the competition – there answer clear “WE are now the competition”) and was amazed by the collection on display. Clearly I’ve missed a lot in the world of sneaker advancement.
In addition to the free Street Art that you can enjoy while trying on sneakers, PRO has now introduced a City Tour stamp card (last picture). By visiting the different PRO stores you can earn up to 20% discount! I put mine straight in my wallet as I’m bound to visit some of the major cities (Utrecht and Rotterdam) very soon. Ka-ching! Naturally, I checked out any other sport-or-sneaker stores that I could find. In my opinion, PRO was just that much cooler.
